Father’s Day: Sanjana Sanghi Calls Herself Dad’s Mirror Image

Actor Sanjana Sanghi started her journey in films at just 13. While her mom, Shagun, was by her side on shoots, it was her dad, Sandeep Sanghi, who took care of things at home in Delhi, including looking after her younger brother, Sumer.
Now 61, Sandeep is an investor. Sanjana calls him a “complete girl dad” for always being there for her. He proudly says that he and Sanjana are very similar: both speak their mind, love being creative, and are emotionally sensitive.
Sanjana agrees and adds, “My friends call me mini-Sandeep! I’ve inherited my boldness and emotions from him. If he loves or feels hurt, he really feels it—and so do I.”
Even though Sanjana joined films at a young age, Sandeep was never worried. He always supported her dreams, saying, “As long as she works hard and stays true to herself, I’ll let her fly.”
Sandeep also praised her ability to manage both studies and acting. Like her dad, Sanjana also studied at Modern School in New Delhi. He completed college from Kirori Mal College, and while he had different jobs—like running a kebab shop and floriculture business—he never missed out on family time.
Some of his favorite memories with Sanjana? Playing cricket with her on their terrace, teaching her to swim at 5, and calling her his “little mermaid.” He proudly shared how she bowled right-arm pace and batted left-handed, never missing a beat in the boys’ game!
Their bond is full of love, laughter, and strong emotional connection—making this Father’s Day truly special.
