“Fawad Khan Faces Backlash Over Condolence Message”

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is once again in controversy. This time, it’s not from India but from his own fans in Pakistan.
After India’s Operation Sindoor, where Indian forces reportedly targeted terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, Fawad shared a condolence message on Instagram. He wrote,
“My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their loved ones… Stop using harsh words. It’s not worth innocent lives. Pakistan Zindabad!”
However, many Pakistani fans got angry, saying he didn’t mention India in his post and felt he was trying to be neutral because of his Bollywood connections.
Fawad’s Instagram handle is now blocked in India, but his post has gone viral through screenshots. Some people also claim he deleted the post after receiving backlash.
Many fans accused him of being soft towards India. Comments included:
- “Where did he mention India?”
- “We don’t need your condolences.”
- “Unfollow him.”
- “High time our industry boycotts him.”
For context, Operation Sindoor was launched by Indian forces after the Pahalgam terror attack in April.
Indian officers confirmed that nine terror sites were targeted carefully to avoid harming civilians.
Fawad was also supposed to make a Bollywood comeback with the film Abir Gulaal on May 9, but after recent tensions, its release is now uncertain.
