Homebound To Screen At Toronto Film Fest
Neeraj Ghaywan’s film Homebound, starring Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, will be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2025. The movie is part of the Gala Presentations category, one of the most prestigious sections of the festival.
The film’s producer, Karan Johar, shared the news with excitement on social media, calling it a proud moment for Dharma Productions.
Cannes Success
Earlier this year, Homebound was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, where it received a 9-minute standing ovation. Photos of an emotional Neeraj Ghaywan were shared widely online after the premiere.
What is Homebound About?
Homebound tells the story of two childhood friends from a small village in North India. They dream of getting police jobs to earn respect and dignity. But as they get closer to their dream, their friendship is tested by growing pressure and desperation.
Director Neeraj Ghaywan said the film is “a deeply personal story about friendship, dignity, and survival.”

Famous Hollywood director Martin Scorsese is also part of the project as an executive producer.
