“Ishaan On Kabir Singh: Tough To Empathise”

Shahid Kapoor’s movie Kabir Singh got mixed reactions from the audience. Some people loved it, while others criticized it for showing toxic behavior and called it misogynistic.

Recently, in an interview with Zoom, Shahid’s brother and actor Ishaan Khatter shared his thoughts on the film. Ishaan said it was hard to watch the character because of all the red flags. He added that even though the movie was controversial, it led to important conversations about behavior in films.

Ishaan also praised Shahid’s performance. He said Shahid added many layers to the role and brought depth, pain, and even some dignity to the character. Ishaan shared, “As an actor and a brother, I saw how much effort he put in. Only an actor of that level could show both strength and brokenness in the role. I’m proud of him.”

Ishaan Khatter’s latest film Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, was shown at the Cannes Film Festival. It starred Ishaan, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor. The film received a 9-minute standing ovation.
He was also seen in The Royals on Netflix with Bhumi Pednekar, which got mixed reviews from viewers.
