Sikandar OTT: Salman Trolled, Fans Say Learn from SRK

After its Netflix premiere on May 25, Salman Khan’s film Sikandar is once again being trolled online. Despite its earlier theatrical release on Eid 2025 and earning over ₹200 crore worldwide, many viewers still feel the film didn’t meet expectations.
Still Getting Criticized
People took to social media calling Sikandar boring, with weak direction and poor acting. One person wrote, “Couldn’t watch even 10 minutes,” while another said, “Why even make this movie?” Some even suggested Salman should consider retiring or be more careful in choosing scripts.
Fans Compare to Shah Rukh Khan
Many users asked Salman to learn from Shah Rukh Khan’s recent action films, which were better received. One comment said, “High-budget movies should deliver—learn from SRK.”
Mixed Reactions
Some viewers did find Sikandar watchable. A fan posted, “Better than Gamechanger or Indian 2. Too much trolling is unfair.” However, others joked the film felt like a “bad south Indian dub” and criticized director AR Murugadoss for not connecting with the audience.
About the Movie
Sikandar is about Sanjay Rajkot, a man who fights against a corrupt politician. It stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj. While Salman returned to action after two years, many felt the film lacked strong direction and acting.
What Critics Said
Reviews pointed out that Salman still shines in action scenes, but poor direction made him look weaker. Rashmika’s acting was also called unconvincing, and the film’s use of a classic Lata Mangeshkar song was poorly received.
Despite making money, Sikandar failed to impress audiences and critics alike.
